Old London Foods was acquired by the company Borden and let the subsidiary Wise Foods take over the business. Wise Foods were producers of snacks, which was the reason why they took over Old London Foods.

In 1967 Wasabröd and Borden merged to create a company for the Swedish market. The joint company was called Old London Wasa. After the modernization of the name in 1973, the company was called OLW. Cheese Bows / Cheez doodles were launched on the Swedish market in 1968.

OLW is owned today by the industrial conglomerate Orkla since 2005.

Today, there are several cheese arch manufacturers. In Sweden, the leading manufacturers of cheese arches are OLW and Estrella. Estrella has entered the market with many successful flavors of cheeses, while OLW is more known for Cheez Doodles originals. Estrella’s flavored cheeses are available at the time of writing including, the flavors cheddar, priest cheese, and cheddar holiday.

An ongoing discussion about these arcs is about the very name of the arcs, is it called Cheese Doodles or Cheese Hooks? To put it bluntly, these golden arches are more commonly referred to as the Cheese Doodles to the south and the Cheese Hooks to the north. Where the boundary goes geographically is difficult, to say as both concepts are used across the country. There have been several surveys and polls over the years where the concept of cheese trays has been the term that most people use. OLW had a short raid where half of the bags had cheese arches, and the other half had cheese hooks. But no matter what I, you, or anyone else say, we mean the same snacks. We all refer to these heavenly golden-bent cheese snacks.

Cheez Doodles gjordes för första gången på 1950-talet av King Kone Corp. i New York, USA. Bågarna döptes av Morrie Yohai, vid King Kone corp, till Cheez Doodles.  

1960 byter King Kone Corp, namnet på Old London Foods. Senare förvärvades Old London Foods av företaget Borden och lät dotterbolaget Wise Foods ta över verksamheten. Wise Foods var producenter av snacks, vilket var grunden till att dom tog över Old London Foods.

1967 slogs Wasabröd och Borden samman för att skapa ett företag för den svenska marknaden. Det gemensamma företaget hette Old London Wasa. Efter moderniseringen av namnet 1973 hette företaget OLW. Cheese Bows / Cheez Doodles lanserades på den svenska marknaden 1968.

OLW ägs av industrikonglomeratet Orkla sedan 2005.

Idag finns det flera ostbågar tillverkare. I Sverige är de ledande tillverkarna av ostbågar OLW och Estrella. Estrella har kommit in på marknaden med många framgångsrika smaker av ostar, medan OLW är mer känt för Cheez Doodles original. Estrellas smaksatta ostar finns i skrivande stund inklusive smakerna cheddar, prästost och cheddar holiday.

En pågående diskussion om dessa bågar handlar om själva bågarnas namn. Kallas det ostbågar eller ostkrokar? För att uttrycka det helt klart kallas dessa gyllene bågar oftare för ostbågarna i söder och ostkrokarna i norr. Där gränsen går geografiskt är svårt att säga eftersom båda begreppen används över hela landet. Det har gjorts flera undersökningar och omröstningar genom åren där begreppet ostbågar har varit den term som de flesta använder. OLW hade en kort raid där hälften av påsarna hade ostbågar och den andra hälften hade ostkrokar. Men oavsett vad jag, du eller någon annan säger, menar vi samma snacks. Vi hänvisar alla till dessa himmelska gyllene böjda ostsnacks.
