Västkustchips är gjorda i en chipsfabrik utanför en av sveriges näst största stad Göteborg. Där i fabriken skivar dom sina potatisar och behåller skalet på. I små omgångar så friteras chipsen i grytor med en blandning av solros- och svensk rapsolja. Det är ett måste att chipsen ska friteras på låg värme under en lång tid. Smaksättningen är av naturliga kryddorna. Den fina resultatet av produkten blir fantastiskt spröda och full av smaker på chipsen.

West Coast chips are made in a chips factory outside of Sweden’s second-largest city, Gothenburg. They slice their west coast potatoes and keep the skins on. In small batches, the chips are fried in a casserole with a mixture of sunflower and swedish rapeseed oil. It is a must that the chips are fried on low heat for a long time. The seasoning is made from natural spices. The nicer result of the product becomes fantastic crispy and full of flavors on the chips.

chipsen är inte gjorda av vilken potatis som helst. De odlar speciellt utvalda potatissorter. Några av sorterna dom använder är Lady Rosetta, Lady Claire, Lady Britta, Kiebitz, och Arsenal. Potatisarna växer ute på åkrar, men viktigast av allt: de ger extra bra chips!

Estrella har egna kontrakterade potatisodlare i Halland och Skåne som alla är IP-certifierade. Detta innebär att odlarna följer ett regelverk för miljö och livsmedelssäkerhet, och att de granskas av oberoende part. Efter skörd lagras potatisen i deras moderna lager i Kistinge. Här förvaras potatisen i en kontrollerad miljö för att behålla kvaliteten och bli till så goda chips som möjligt.

Den svenska potatisen kommer till deras fabrik i Angered i fina Estrella-lastbilar, och de danska potatisarna kommer över Öresund eller med färja.Till deras chips använder dom en unik blandning av solrosolja och rapsolja, med lika bra fettsammansättning som olivolja, och med helt fantastisk smak förstås. På Estrella kontrollerar dom kvaliteten noga i varje steg. Friteringen ska ske i exakt rätt temperatur, det ska kryddas precis lagom, och gröna eller missfärgade chips plockas bort.Till sist hamnar chipsen i butiken där du kan välja om det blir kryddiga, salta, finräfflade, grovräfflade, släta, tunna eller knapriga chips som får följa med dig hem.

Estrella chips are not made from any potatoes. Estrella grows specially selected potato varieties. Some of the sort used are Lady Rosetta, Lady Claire, Lady Britta, Kiebitz, and Arsenal. The potatoes grow out on the fields, but most importantly: they provide extra good chips!

Estrella has its own contracted potato growers in Halland and Skåne, all of which are IP-certified. That means that the growers follow a regulatory framework for environment and food safety and that they are stored by an independent part. After harvest, the potatoes are stored in their modern warehouses in Kistinge. Here the potatoes are stored in a controlled environment in order to maintain the quality and to make as good chips as possible.

The Swedish potatoes arrive at their factory in Angered in fine Estrella trucks and the danish potatoes over the Öresund or by ferry. For their chips, they use a unique blend of sunflower oil and rapeseed oil, with just as good fat composition as olive oil, and with absolutely fantastic taste, of course. At Estrella, they control the quality of care at every step. The frying should be done at exactly the right temperature, it should be justified just right, and green or discolored chips are removed. Lastly, the chips end up in the store where you can choose whether it is spicy, salty, finely grated, coarse-grained, smooth, thin, or crunchy chips that bring you home.

Potatisarna växer på potatisodlarnas åkrar och får sin näring från solen och regnet. De köper även in potatis från andra länder, främst Danmark, naturligtvis med samma höga krav på kvalitet. Efter skörden lagras potatisen i Estrellas moderna lager i Kistinge. Där förvaras potatisen i en kontrollerad miljö för att behålla kvaliteten och bli till så bra chips som möjligt.

The potetoes grow in the poteto growes` fields and get their nutrition from the sun and rain. They also buy potatoes from other countries, mainly Denmark, of course with the same quality. After the harvesting, the potato is stored in Estrellaś modern warehouse in Kistinge. There, the potetoes are stored in a controlled environment to maintain the quality and to make as good chips as possible.
